As an M&A and Accounting Policy Manager on Coinbase's Accounting team, you'll serve as the primary accounting resource across the full M&A and investment transaction lifecycle - from financial due diligence and purchase accounting through post-close integration and ongoing investment accounting. Reporting to the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting Policy, you'll simultaneously maintain and evolve Coinbase's accounting policies across new and emerging business activities. You'll apply deep US GAAP expertise to complex transactions and new products, partnering with Legal, Corporate Development, Tax, and Controllership to drive accounting conclusions in a fast-moving environment. What you'll do: Lead financial due diligence on target companies, including quality of earnings analysis, working capital assessments, and identification of accounting exposures, off-balance-sheet items, and deal-relevant risks Own end-to-end purchase accounting for completed acquisitions under ASC 805, including purchase price allocation, intangible asset recognition, goodwill calculation, and measurement period adjustments Determine and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for strategic investments under ASC 321, ASC 323, and ASC 810, including equity method and fair value option elections Maintain and update Coinbase's accounting policies, prepare technical accounting memos on new or ev
