Communications Associate

Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you'll help support and scale Discord's communications efforts across corporate storytelling. We're looking for a strong communicator who thrives in fast-moving environments, has a superpower for bringing clarity and structure to complex work, and is eager to jump in and get things done. Working with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders, you'll help support everything from media inquiries and communications workflows, to launches and cross-functional planning. A major focus of the role will be to help freshen up, organize, and operationalize our communications efforts, including managing and updating talking points documents, improving internal processes, coordinating external agency support, and helping keep teams aligned as projects move quickly. You know that great communication isn't just about what gets said, and your signature move is making sure the right people have the right information at the right time in the right way.
