## About the role
As an Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of around 60 high-profile French art sellers and be responsible for driving profitable GMV growth.
Combining commercial acumen with a passion for art, you will identify growth opportunities, build long-term partnerships, and help sellers maximise their business on Catawiki while maintaining our quality standards.
You will work closely with Art Experts, Category Managers and Customer Experience, and report to the Sales Manager.
## About the Art Sales team
The Art Sales team drives the growth of Catawiki's professional art sellers across Europe.
We are a commercially driven team that combines a passion for art with a strong sales mindset. We share best practices, analyse performance and collaborate closely with Experts and Category Management to accelerate growth.
## What you’ll do
You will own the commercial success of your portfolio by:

• Managing a portfolio of approximately 60 strategic French art sellers in line with what has been done so far. Seller profiles are diverse, ranging from artists in the primary market to collectors and galleries in the secondary market.
• Building trusted relationships through business reviews, calls, face-to-face meetings and art fairs.
• Hand in hand with Experts, developing tailored commercial short and mid term growth plans based on seller potential and performance and aligned with the categories guidelinesAnalysing data to identify growth opportunities and turn insights into action.
• Coaching sellers on reserve price optimisation, catalogue quality and commercial performance.
• Working with Art Experts to improve auction quality and seller success.
• Negotiating commercial agreements and incentive programmes.
• Sharing insights on French art market trends with the wider commercial team.
• Presenting account performance and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
## What you’ll bring
We're looking for someone with commercial ambition and a genuine passion for the art market.
You have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
• Fluency in French and English - English is used internally and French with sellers.
• Strong commercial instincts, negotiation skills and a proven ability to grow existing accounts.
• Strong active listening skills, reactivity and emotional intelligence.
• Team spirit as working with experts is the key.
• The ability to build credibility with demanding, high-value clients.
• A structured, analytical and data-driven approach.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and thrive in a predominantly remote environment.
• A genuine passion for art, auctions or collectibles.
• Confidence using AI tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT to analyse data, prepare presentations and improve productivity.
• Experience with Google Workspace, HubSpot or other CRM systems is a plus.
