Up to ₹15,000 for eligible first-time employees

01 Aug 2025 – 31 Jul 2027 · Ministry of Labour & Employment · via Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)

Overview

PMVBRY is an Employment Linked Incentive scheme announced under the Prime Minister’s Package for Employment and Skilling (Budget 2024–25), aligned with Viksit Bharat@2047.

It supports first-time employees as they enter the formal workforce and incentivises establishments that create sustained additional employment, with extended benefits for manufacturing.

Part A — First-time employees

One-time incentive of up to ₹15,000 (equivalent to about one completed month of EPF wage, capped). Paid in two instalments.

  • 1st instalment: up to ₹7,500 after 6 continuous months of ECR + contributions (half of average EPF wage for those months).
  • 2nd instalment: remaining amount so total does not exceed ₹15,000, after 12 months’ ECR + contributions and completion of the Financial Literacy programme.
  • The 2nd instalment is held in an appropriate savings/deposit instrument for a period specified by the Ministry.
  • Who is a First Timer: not a prior EPFO / Exempted Trust contributing member; joined during 01.08.2025–31.07.2027; gross wages up to ₹1 lakh/month at joining; UAN authenticated via Face Authentication (FAT) on UMANG App.
  • Must continue with the same establishment for the full Part A period. Leaving and joining elsewhere ends First Timer status for the 2nd instalment.
