Checklist

  • Virtualize long lists (react-window) — see Medium → Virtualization.
  • Paginate or use infinite scroll for big data from the API.
  • Debounce search inputs and throttle scroll handlers.
  • useTransition / useDeferredValue for non-urgent updates.
  • Move CPU-heavy work to a Web Worker.
  • Cache server data with React Query / RTK Query to avoid repeated requests.
