About the role and what you'll be doing:
Ensono seeks a Director of Strategic Pursuits within our Global Solutions Organization to lead multi-tower and large deal pursuits. You will oversee a team of pre-sales Solution Principals and Architects, directing large, multi-tower deal solutioning that drives substantial revenue and positions Ensono as a trusted strategic partner. You'll balance business development, execution excellence, team development, and thought leadership to build a world-class solutions organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of Solution Principals and Architects. Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and client focus. Develop career paths and provide coaching to support individual and team growth.
• Business Development & Client Relationships: Build and cultivate senior-level advisory relationships with C-suite executives at existing and prospective clients. Convert initial relationships into multi-assignment, long-term engagements that drive recurring revenue and expand market share for Ensono’s Transformation and Managed Services.
• Partnering with Sales and Lead Generation: Establish a working partnership with Ensono’s Lead Generation and Field Sales teams to support our Go-to-Market strategies end to end. Plan resource allocation and timelines for pursuits in partnership with Sales. Ensure that solutions (architectures) are technically sound, scalable, and deliver measurable business value, and have alignment from investment, and delivery & operations teams.
• Deal Solutioning & Delivery: Lead complex, multi-tower consultative engagements, directing technical strategy, approach, and execution. Actively participate on key client assignments, ensuring superior quality, on-time and on-budget execution, and measurable business impact.
• Practice Development & Operations: Develop and execute a blueprint for scaling the Strategic Pursuits functions and the Global Solutions Organizations. Establish disciplined pursuit strategies, execution frameworks, and KPIs to increase market share, brand awareness, and recurring revenue. Track pursuit health, identify process gaps, and drive continuous improvements.
• Quality & Impact: Champion a Strategic Solution Architecture practice known for deep client impact and tangible, measurable results. Ensure work undertaken aligns with Ensono's core strengths (hybrid platforms, mission-critical applications, digital transformation, etc.) and attracts top talent.
• Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Author white papers, present at industry conferences, present to advisors, and represent Ensono at external forums to establish the practice's authority in advisory and consulting. Collaborate across business lines to reinforce Ensono's position as a "One Firm" trusted adviser.

What You Will Need:
• 20+ years of professional sales, solutioning, consulting, advisory, and/or Big 4 consulting experience
• 5+ years of direct management and leadership experience building and scaling high-performing teams in client facing roles
• Proven track record of managing revenue-generating practices or billable professional services
• Demonstrated success translating strategic vision into operational reality, including technology-enabled business transformation programs / solutions (cloud migration, digital modernization, systems integration, process redesign, change management etc.)
• Strong background in multi-dimensional client relationship building and executive engagement at C-suite level
• Expertise in business case development, ROI modeling, and strong analytical skills
• Financial accountability experience with P&L Management a plus
• Sales and pursuit management experience in managed services, infrastructure & data center solutions, and professional services
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Track record of building a brand, IP and thought leadership (published works, speaking engagements, recognized expertise)
• Familiarity with hybrid IT environments, mainframe/midrange modernization, or cloud transformations
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Entrepreneurial mindset with creative problem-solving abilities
Bonus Qualifications
• Master's degree or MBA
• Relevant professional certifications (PMP, ITIL, Agile/SAFe, TOGAF etc.)
• Experience in consulting and/or delivery for financial services, government, or enterprise clients
• Experience in both pre-sales and post-sales consulting delivery models
